Football matches in Berlin

For the city string Berlin the catalog has one club, Union Berlin. The Bundesliga snapshot places the club at Stadion An der Alten Försterei and keeps the city string Berlin. The club's directions send people from the main station on the S3 toward Erkner to S-Bahnhof Köpenick, then about 15 minutes on foot along the rail embankment via Hämmerlingstraße. From Lichtenberg, S5, S7 or S75 run to Ostkreuz and change there to the S3. From BER, S45 or S9 run to Schöneweide, then tram 60 or 67 toward Friedrichshagen, Altes Wasserwerk or Krankenhaus Köpenick, to the stop Alte Försterei beside the stadium. By car the route uses the A113, exit Berlin-Adlershof, Ernst-Ruska-Ufer, Köpenicker Straße, Glienicker Weg, left into Spindlersfelder Straße and right onto An der Wuhlheide. The car park Forum Köpenick, Bahnhofstraße 33 to 38, 12555 Berlin, is open on match days outside its ordinary hours as well. At S-Bahnhof Altglienicke the club names a park-and-ride and the onward ride via Schöneweide or Spindlersfeld. For the men's matches the gates usually open 120 minutes before kick-off, and for the women 90 minutes. Home areas are sectors 1 to 4, and sector 5 is for the visitors. The ticket shop linked from the visitor page is on tickets.union-zeughaus.de.

Berlin at a glance

These pages are separate from the D1 snapshot. Each page gives the date and ticket route only when a checked match source states them.

Plan a visit in the city

Settle Union Berlin and the date first, and do not look for a second Berlin club under the same city string. The route is on the directions for Stadion An der Alten Försterei. From the main station, take the S3 to S-Bahnhof Köpenick, then Hämmerlingstraße. From BER, take the S-Bahn to Schöneweide and tram 60 or 67 to the stop Alte Försterei. Drive only as far as An der Wuhlheide, knowing the club says there is little parking beside the stadium. The car park at Bahnhofstraße 33 to 38 is the alternative in Berlin that the page names. The linked ticket shop is tickets.union-zeughaus.de. Home sectors are 1 to 4, and the visitors use sector 5. Bags larger than A4 are not allowed in the stadium. Köpenick here is an S-Bahn station on the way, not an extra catalog place.

What to distinguish in this travel scope

S3 to S-Bahnhof Köpenick

The directions send people from the main station on the S3 toward Erkner to S-Bahnhof Köpenick. After that it is about 15 minutes on foot along the rail embankment via Hämmerlingstraße to Stadion An der Alten Försterei. From Lichtenberg, S5, S7 and S75 run to Ostkreuz, where the change is onto the same S3. The Bundesliga snapshot keeps the city string as Berlin and names the ground Stadion An der Alten Försterei. The S-Bahn station does not replace that city string.

Sector 5 is assigned to the visitors. Bags and backpacks larger than A4 are not allowed in the stadium and can be left at the special desk.
