Football matches in Hamburg

Hamburger SV is the catalog club for Hamburg. The arrival page for the Volksparkstadion names the S-Bahn stops Stellingen on S3 and S5, Eidelstedt on S3 and S5, and Othmarschen on S1. On match days shuttle buses run from Stellingen and Othmarschen straight to the ground, usually from about two hours before kick-off. From Stellingen and Eidelstedt the walk is about 15 minutes. For the ride back toward the city centre the page prefers Stellingen, because the entrance at Eidelstedt means waits. Bus 22, on the route from S-Blankenese to U-Kellinghusenstraße, stops at Schnackenburgallee. Uwe-Seeler-Allee is closed to satnavs on match day, even though the ticket page places the service centre at Uwe-Seeler-Allee 9, 22525 Hamburg. A StadtRAD station sits on the corner of Uwe-Seeler-Allee and Schnackenburgallee. Car park Braun is marked closed on the arrival page. The service centre does not sell tickets on site. The online shop does. HVV use in rings A to F requires the fare to be created beforehand, including for digital tickets.

Selected match pages

These pages are separate from the D1 snapshot. Each page gives the date and ticket route only when a checked match source states them.

Plan a visit in the city

Choose Hamburger SV and the date first, and check on the ticket page whether the match is listed as a home match at the Volksparkstadion. Tickets go through the online shop, not across the counter at Uwe-Seeler-Allee 9. Half an hour before a member presale the ticket page puts a waiting room in front of the shop, and the shop is not available during that time. For the route use the arrival page at hsv.de/volkspark/anreise. Take S3 or S5 to Stellingen, then the shuttle or about 15 minutes on foot. Do not put Uwe-Seeler-Allee into the satnav. Drivers heading for Rot or Grau use Farnhornweg and Farnhornstieg from the Stellingen exit and avoid Schnackenburgallee, because Braun is closed. Create the HVV fare before travelling.

What to distinguish in this travel scope

S3 and S5 to Stellingen

The arrival page sets three S-Bahn stops beside the Volksparkstadion. Stellingen is served by S3 and S5, Eidelstedt also by S3 and S5, and Othmarschen by S1. On match days shuttle buses run from Stellingen and from Othmarschen straight to the ground. Service usually starts about two hours before kick-off. The walk from Stellingen and from Eidelstedt is about 15 minutes. After the match the ride toward the city centre should preferably start at Stellingen. At Eidelstedt the page expects longer waits because of the entrance. Bus 22 between S-Blankenese and U-Kellinghusenstraße stops at Schnackenburgallee. Match tickets allow HVV use in rings A to F for the trip there and back, but the fare has to be created beforehand. On this page that also applies to digital tickets.

Uwe-Seeler-Allee closed, number 9

The arrival page says Uwe-Seeler-Allee is closed on match day and should not go into a satnav. The ticket page still places the HSV service centre at Uwe-Seeler-Allee 9, 22525 Hamburg, phone 040 4155-1887. It is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00. By phone on home match days it is reachable Friday to Sunday from 09:00 until kick-off. Tickets are not sold there. Purchase runs through the online shop. Half an hour before a member presale starts, a waiting room sits in front of the shop. There is a bike park directly at the ground where bikes can be left without a charge. The StadtRAD station is on the corner of Uwe-Seeler-Allee and Schnackenburgallee.

Braun closed, Rot via Farnhornstieg

The arrival page marks car park Braun as closed and explains that with the A7 deck works and a refugee shelter, dated on the page to the 2024/25 season. Schnackenburgallee should therefore be avoided on the way to Rot, Grau and Blau. Rot and Grau are reached via Farnhornweg and Farnhornstieg from the Stellingen exit. On match day Hellgrundweg can be driven only from Farnhornweg or Farnhornstieg as far as the car parks. The walk from there is about five minutes. Grün is on the corner of Luruper Hauptstraße and Stadionstraße, about 15 minutes on foot. Weiß and Gelb on Schnackenburgallee directly by the A7 are VIP parks and need a permit, with a walk of two to three minutes. Disabled spaces on Gelb are only for people whose ID carries the mark aG. The coach park is on Schnackenburgallee about 200 metres past closed Braun, exit Volkspark. The motorway exits are named HH-Volkspark, HH-Stellingen and HH-Bahrenfeld. From the west the A1 at Buchholzer Dreieck joins the A261, then at Dreieck HH-Südwest the A7 northbound to HH-Volkspark.
