Football matches in Mainz
Mainz 05 is the catalog club for Mainz. The directions page sets the MEWA Arena at Eugen-Salomon-Straße 1, 55128 Mainz, and lets cars approach directly only through the Europaplatz roundabout, following signs for Stadion. Eugen-Salomon-Straße itself can be driven on a match day only with a permit for P1 or P6. Tram and bus lines 51, 53 and 630 stop at Hochschule Mainz, Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena and Kisselberg. Before the match the trams stop at all three. For 60 minutes after the final whistle, Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena and Hochschule Mainz are skipped, and Kisselberg beside the shuttle buses remains. From the main station the shuttle runs about every minute from bus platform S. Away coaches arrive via Koblenzer Straße, not via the Europaplatz roundabout, and park in front of the away area. The trade-fair park-and-ride is on Genfer Allee, 55129 Mainz. The ticket page leads to the shop ticket-onlineshop.com/ols/mainz05 and fetches the digital RNN and RMV fare through Mainzer Mobilität. A printed season ticket remains the fare itself. At the Bruchwegstadion the match ticket is not a combined ticket. Contactless entry needs the ticket in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Selected match pages
These pages are separate from the D1 snapshot. Each page gives the date and ticket route only when a checked match source states them.
Plan a visit in the city
Choose Mainz 05 and the date first, and check on the ticket page whether the match is at the MEWA Arena or at the Bruchwegstadion. Only for the MEWA Arena does the directions page describe the shuttle from bus platform S and lines 51, 53 and 630. After the final whistle do not wait for a tram at Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena. Walk to Kisselberg. By car use Europaplatz and the Stadion signs, not Eugen-Salomon-Straße without a permit for P1 or P6. Away coaches stay on Koblenzer Straße. Anyone using local transport downloads the fare with the ticket barcode on the Mainzer Mobilität page, unless the card is a printed season ticket or a ticket printed in the fan shop. The shop itself is ticket-onlineshop.com/ols/mainz05.
What to distinguish in this travel scope
Bus platform S, lines 51, 53 and 630
The directions page recommends the shuttle from Mainz main station. On home match days it runs about every minute from bus platform S. From the stop at the ground the MEWA Arena is a few minutes on foot. Lines 51, 53 and 630 also stop at Hochschule Mainz, Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena and Kisselberg. Before kick-off the trams serve all three stops. For 60 minutes after the final whistle, Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena and Hochschule Mainz drop out. The trams then stop at Kisselberg next to the shuttle buses. The combined ticket covers the RNN for the whole event day and the RMV from five hours before the event starts, and in both networks until 04:00 the next day. About 3,000 bike spaces sit directly at the arena.

Europaplatz, not Eugen-Salomon-Straße
The address is MEWA Arena, Eugen-Salomon-Straße 1, 55128 Mainz. Direct access is still possible only through the Europaplatz roundabout, following signs for Stadion. On a match day Eugen-Salomon-Straße may be driven only with a permit for P1 or P6. From the north the page names the A643, from the south the A63, from the east the A60, and from the west the A60 and the L419, Saarstraße. Park-and-ride on the trade-fair site, Genfer Allee, 55129 Mainz, has a shuttle to the arena. Home fan coaches park there as well. Away coaches do not use the Europaplatz roundabout. They use Koblenzer Straße up to the away area. That park holds 40 fan coaches. Drop-off and pick-up is on Hahn-Meitner-Weg on the university campus, about ten minutes on foot, entering at the main gate from Koblenzer Straße. Drop-off along Eugen-Salomon-Straße is not allowed.

Shop, wallet and Bruchwegstadion
The ticket page links the online shop ticket-onlineshop.com/ols/mainz05. The digital fare is fetched with the ticket barcode at Mainzer Mobilität. A physical season ticket and a ticket printed in the fan shop still count as the fare themselves. A digital or printed match ticket from the online shop does not count on its own on match day. For each match an extra digital fare is then required, and it can be fetched until kick-off. At the Bruchwegstadion the match ticket explicitly does not count as a combined ticket. Contactless entry to the MEWA Arena needs an NFC phone or watch and the ticket in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. At the turnstile the unlocked device is held to the contactless mark. Without NFC the QR code remains. The page accepts group requests from 11 people for home matches, except the matches against Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt.
