Football matches in Malmö

The catalog string Malmö contains only Malmö FF. The directions page names the ground Eleda Stadion and sends the train to Triangeln station, then on foot through Pildammsparken into the stadium area. Match bus line 84 stops at Isstadion directly south of Eleda Stadion. On weekdays it arrives about 30 minutes before kick-off and leaves about 20 minutes after the final whistle, and on Saturday and Sunday about 60 minutes before kick-off. The same page closes the route on the east side between Malmö Stadion and John Ericssons väg. In that text Malmö Stadion is the neighbouring building under demolition, not the football ground. The English visitor page calls the same ground Eleda Stadion domestically and Malmö New Stadium in UEFA matches, inaugurated in 2009, and places the away sections at 17 and 38. From Malmö Central Station it is bus 3, about 45 minutes on foot and about 15 minutes by bicycle.

Plan a visit in the city

Settle Malmö FF and the date first. The pages that were opened describe Eleda Stadion, and they do not describe Malmö Stadion as the football ground. For the journey use Triangeln station and Pildammsparken, or line 84 to Isstadion, and search the actual connection in the Skånetrafiken app or on its site to the stop Isstadion. The English page adds buses 3, 6, 7 and 34, with bus 3 from Malmö Central Station. Because of the building works, do not use the walking and cycling path on Eric Perssons väg on the east side. The page sends people instead along Annebergsgatan or Lagmansgatan. Someone with a match ticket finds a code for a Voi ride in the MFF Officiell app, and the parking zone is on the west side. Away sections are 17 and 38. Pushchairs, according to the directions page, belong in Södra Små or by the lift at entrance F on the south side, not on the stand. The museum next to the club store is closed on home match days.

What to distinguish in this travel scope

Triangeln and Isstadion, line 84

The Malmö FF directions page names Triangeln as the nearest train station. From there it is a short walk through Pildammsparken into the stadium area. Skånetrafiken line 84 runs to the men's home matches and supplements the ordinary buses. It picks up passengers at many stops between Västra Hamnen, Segevång, Riseberga, Lindängen and Klagshamn. All of those journeys stop at Isstadion, directly south of Eleda Stadion, and after the match they return the same way. On weekdays, Monday to Friday, the buses arrive at Isstadion about 30 minutes before kick-off and leave about 20 minutes after the final whistle. On Saturday and Sunday the arrival is about 60 minutes before kick-off, and the departure is again about 20 minutes after the final whistle. The page sends the actual search to the Skånetrafiken app or site, destination the stop Isstadion.

Malmö Stadion is not Eleda Stadion

The directions page describes building works on the stadium area. In spring and summer 2026 Malmö Stadion is being demolished, and the new multisport hall is going up along John Ericssons väg. Later, a new athletics and football arena is to start on the present site of Malmö Stadion. The route to Eleda Stadion can therefore change. The east side between Malmö Stadion and John Ericssons väg is closed off. The walking and cycling path on Eric Perssons väg can no longer be used. The page sends people instead along Annebergsgatan or Lagmansgatan into the stadium area. It describes parking nearby as difficult and recommends bus, train or bicycle. There are bicycle stands by the arena. Someone with a match ticket finds a code for a Voi ride in the MFF Officiell app. The scooter parking zone is on the west side of Eleda Stadion.

Bus 3 and sections 17 and 38

The English visitor page calls the ground Eleda Stadion domestically and Malmö New Stadium in UEFA matches, inaugurated in 2009, with 22,500 places for domestic matches and 20,500 for European club matches, UEFA category 4. The away section is in sections 17 and 38, rebuilt in 2024. Bus 3 runs from Malmö Central Station to Eleda Stadion, and buses 6, 7 and 34 also stop nearby. On foot from the central station the page allows about 45 minutes, and about 15 minutes by bicycle. Parking opposite Stadiongatan or on the surrounding streets is limited. The club store is at Eleda Stadion, another is on Södra Förstadsgatan and one is in the Emporia shopping centre. The museum next to the store at Eleda Stadion is open Tuesday to Thursday from 11.00 to 18.00, Friday from 11.00 to 16.00 and Saturday from 11.00 to 15.00, and it is closed on home match days. The page links tickets to mff.ebiljett.nu.

Entrance F and Södra Små

The directions page does not allow one's own food and drink, except for medical reasons. Bags may be at most 40 by 40 by 20 centimetres, and every bag is searched. Eleda Stadion is smoke-free. A walker may come in, but it is parked and locked at the visitor's own risk. It may not go onto the stand and may not block escape routes. For that the page recommends a ticket on the south end, upper tier, with a lift up to the section. A pushchair is allowed. The recommendation is Södra Små, a section for children and families, with space to leave it just outside the entrance. Anyone who wants the pushchair in the foyer by the stand uses the lift at entrance F on the south side. The pushchair may not go onto the stand itself. The English page places Erics Bar in the northern part, open three hours before kick-off and two hours after the final whistle, and Hörnan in the southern part, open three hours before the match and closed at kick-off. A wine bar on the west side is only for visitors entering through gates C or D.
