Football matches in Velsen

The catalog club Telstar is at the BUKO Stadion on the route page, and the catalog city stays Velsen, even though the press page prints the visit address as BUKO Stadion, Minister van Houtenlaan 123, 1981 EK Velsen-Zuid. The postal address beside it is Postbus 90, 1970 AB IJmuiden. On weekdays the press page lists 9:00 to 17:00 at this visit address. That is the office time, not a general gate opening for spectators. The route page puts the train at station Driehuis, about 750 metres on foot, and the bus at the stop IJmuiden Heerenduinweg, about 200 metres. Bicycles do not go in front of the main entrance. They go in the racks at entrance east. The same page names 360 extra bicycle spaces. The map on the page labels entrances A and F and the east, west, north and south stands. P1, P2 and P3 on the north side are only for season parking cards, officials and media partners. The car park opposite is often full well before the match. Alternatives are Pontplein, Dudokplein and Zwembad Heerenduinen. The parking note from season 2025/2026 puts extra spaces at the Felisenum and on the side opposite the BUKO Stadion, and keeps P1, P2 and P3 on the north for invited guests. With the municipality of Velsen, Ver Loren van Themaatlaan has a match-day ban on the housing side and parking still allowed on the forest side, and Minister Lelylaan has a ban on both park sides for emergency access. The press page places Telstar youth matches at IJVV Stormvogels, not on Minister van Houtenlaan, and keeps the press room closed for those matches.

Velsen at a glance

This page contains only catalog entries whose city string is exactly Velsen. Velsen-Zuid and other place names are not attached as a further catalog city. The stadium list follows the place strings Velsen-Zuid.

Plan a visit in the city

Settle Telstar and the date first, and check whether it is a first-team match at the BUKO Stadion or a youth match. The press page plays the youth teams at IJVV Stormvogels, with no street on that page, and the press room then stays closed. For the BUKO Stadion, use the route page. Train to station Driehuis, about 750 metres. Bus to the stop IJmuiden Heerenduinweg, about 200 metres. Check the times again on 9292. The club page prints no departure. Take a bicycle to entrance east, not in front of the main entrance. By car, from Amsterdam or Haarlem the A9, exit IJmuiden, then the N202. From Alkmaar or Beverwijk the A22, exit IJmuiden, then the N208 and the N202. From Zaandam or Purmerend the A8 and the A9 toward Haarlem, again exit IJmuiden and the N202, then the signs and the stewards. Do not use P1, P2 and P3 on the north without a season parking card. The route page reserves them for season parking cards, officials and media partners. Without that card, use Pontplein, Dudokplein or Zwembad Heerenduinen, only in the marked bays. The house number to match is on the press page, Minister van Houtenlaan 123, 1981 EK Velsen-Zuid. The hours 9:00 to 17:00 are the weekday office time, not the spectator gates. The press entrance is to the left of the main entrance, desk from 90 minutes before kickoff. That is the press route, not the general spectator entrance. On match days, follow the folding signs agreed with the municipality of Velsen. On Ver Loren van Themaatlaan do not park on the housing side. The forest side is still allowed. On Minister Lelylaan keep both park sides clear.

What to distinguish in this travel scope

Station Driehuis and entrance east

Telstar's route page names the BUKO Stadion and three driving routes, all of which end at the signs to the stadium and with the stewards. From Amsterdam or Haarlem, take the A9 toward Alkmaar, exit IJmuiden, N202 toward IJmuiden. From Alkmaar or Beverwijk, take the A22 toward IJmuiden, exit IJmuiden, then the N208 and the N202. From Zaandam or Purmerend, take the A8, then the A9 toward Haarlem, exit IJmuiden, N202. The train ends in the text at station Driehuis, about 750 metres on foot. The bus ends at the stop IJmuiden Heerenduinweg, about 200 metres. The page points the clock time to 9292. Bicycles do not belong in front of the main entrance. They belong in the racks at entrance east. 360 extra bicycle spaces are on the same page. The map shown labels entrances A and F and the four stands east, west, north and south. P1, P2 and P3 on the north side are only for holders of a season parking card, for officials and for media partners. The car park opposite the stadium is often full well before the match. Alternatives are Pontplein, Dudokplein and Zwembad Heerenduinen, only in the marked bays.

Minister van Houtenlaan 123 and entrance A

The press page sets the visit address at BUKO Stadion, Minister van Houtenlaan 123, 1981 EK Velsen-Zuid, postal address Postbus 90, 1970 AB IJmuiden. On weekdays this address is open from 9:00 to 17:00, read as office hours, not as a spectator gate. Accreditation for a first-team home match goes by mail to communicatie@sctelstar.nl, at the latest two working days before, with an NSP card. Collection is at the press entrance, formerly the players' home, to the left of the main entrance, not at the main entrance. The desk is open from 90 minutes before kickoff. The press room in the players' home opens from 60 minutes before kickoff. The press stand is reached via entrance A, then right, at the top of section B on the main stand. The seats are numbered. The page names eight photographer places and 19 places on the press stand. For youth matches this reception does not apply. The youth teams play at IJVV Stormvogels. The page gives no street for that, accreditation is not required, and the press room stays closed. There is no separate parking card for the media. Besides the car park opposite, the press page names Pontplein, Tiberiusplein, Dudokplein and Zwembad Heerenduinen.

Felisenum, Minister Lelylaan and Themaatlaan

Telstar's parking note, from season 2025/2026, puts extra spaces at the Felisenum and on the side opposite the BUKO Stadion. P1, P2 and P3 on the north side remain there for invited guests. The route page words that same north side more narrowly, as season parking cards, officials and media partners. Without a permanent parking card the note names the new spaces, public spaces in the surrounding neighbourhoods, or Pontplein. This was agreed with the municipality of Velsen and the police. From Friday 17 October folding signs go up, in force from the match against sc Heerenveen on Sunday 19 October. That sentence does not print a year. On Thorbeckelaan the parking ban lapses. Parking with two wheels on the pavement and two on the roadway remains allowed. On Ver Loren van Themaatlaan a match-day ban applies on the housing side. On the forest side parking is still allowed. At the start of that street, blue signs with a P mark the grass-concrete strip, all four wheels on the strip. On Minister Lelylaan a ban applies on both park sides, so emergency vehicles can pass. The signs are folded open the evening before a home match and closed again afterwards. While they are open, the ban applies.
