Portman Road stadium tour, visit planning

Check the official tour route for Portman Road and plan your visit with sourced guidance on the experience, arrival and stadium operations.

What to expect

Ipswich Town sells guided Stadium Tours of Portman Road on the club website. New for 2026 is the Champions Lounge with the three major trophies. The visit is not a match ticket.

Sourced elements

  • The live hub names the Champions Lounge and the 1962, 1978 and 1981 trophies. Accessible, Legend and Private tours are separate products.
  • The FAQ describes a guided tour of about two hours with two guides, directors' box, home and away dressing rooms, press conference room and dugouts. Tea, coffee and squash on arrival.

Booking and arrival

  • Use the official club page. Every guest needs a Digital Account. MatchVisit does not make a booking or confirm a date.
  • The product page names the Three Lions Lounge via the West Stand turnstiles as the meeting point. Arrive 15 minutes before the start.

Stadium operations and matchdays

  • The live FAQ puts tours on weekday evenings and weekend days, not on matchdays or matchday weekends. Portman Road is a working stadium. Dates can move at short notice.

Accessibility and individual planning

  • The standard route has lifts and a ramp to the dug-outs. There are separate accessible tours. Bags no larger than A4. No left luggage. Help via tours@itfc.co.uk.
