Volksparkstadion stadium tour, visit planning
Check the official tour route for Volksparkstadion and plan your visit with sourced guidance on the experience, arrival and stadium operations.
What to expect
Hamburger SV currently sells stadium tours at the Volksparkstadion. The public default card runs several times a day and then includes a visit to the HSV Museum. It is a stadium visit, not a match ticket. The catalog stadium name remains Volksparkstadion.
Sourced elements
- The public tour names stands and press areas, VIP rooms, bus hall, mixed zone, away dressing room and the walk through the players' tunnel to the pitch with the entrance anthem HSV forever. The same ticket then allows a visit to the HSV Museum.
- The matchday tour is a separate product on a home matchday. It lasts 90 minutes, starts 3.5 hours before kick-off and requires a valid ticket for that match. It does not include that ticket.
Booking and arrival
- The public information page is hsv.de/en/stadium/museum-tours/stadium-tours. Public tours must be reserved online in advance. Payment is on site on the day of the tour. MatchVisit does not check remaining places there.
- Private tours, the matchday tour and inclusion tours are separate routes. Inclusion variants need a telephone booking on 040/4155-1550. An English-language public tour is not named on the information hub.
Stadium operations and matchdays
- Contact on club pages is HSV Museum, HSV Fußball AG & Co. KGaA, Uwe-Seeler-Allee 9, 22525 Hamburg, museum@hsv.de, 040/4155-1550. The HSV Museum covers about 700 square metres inside Volksparkstadion.
- Outside home matchdays the museum opens from March to October daily 10:00 to 18:00, last entry 17:30. From November to March it is daily 10:00 to 16:00, last entry 15:30. On home matchdays only for match visitors, opening with the stadium gates, closing at kick-off.
- S-Bahn S3 or S5 Stellingen, about 15 minutes on foot. Bus M22 Schnackenburgallee or bus 180 Am Volkspark. The information hub does not name a meeting point for the public tour. The travel pages mainly describe matchdays.
Accessibility and individual planning
- HSV offers separate museum and stadium tours for blind and visually impaired visitors, visitors with hearing impairments with sign-language interpreting, people with dementia in small groups, and easy language. Those variants need a booking on 040/4155-1550. That is not a guarantee for every stop on the public default tour.
