Newcastle tickets, buying options and advice

Start with Newcastle United's official sale route and the conditions for the specific fixture. MatchVisit has no live inventory and sells no tickets.

Buy directly from the club

Newcastle United sells home tickets at St. James' Park only to paid Mags, Mags+ and Junior Mags members. The club names the Mags Member Ballot, the Mags Member Sale and Mags Member Ticket Exchange. It does not describe a public general sale. Membership is The Mags, plus Mags+ and Junior Mags for fans aged 0 to 17. All three tiers share the same chance in the ballot and the Member Sale. Mags+ does not change ticket priority. The typical order per fixture is the ballot, seat selection, season-ticket forwarding and resale, then the Mags Member Sale. Exact times are stated on the fixture page. Outside the ballot, only hospitality secures a seat. Hospitality is a separate official route outside the ballot.

Membership, personalisation and transfers

Membership is required for the ballot. It is not a ticket. It must already be paid before ballot entry. Mags+ does not improve odds over The Mags or Junior Mags. One member, one entry, one ticket. Groups of up to six active members are allowed. The draw is random. Junior Mags open the same ballot and Member Sale. Successful ballot applicants have 48 hours to choose a seat and pay. Ballot tickets cannot be forwarded. Anyone who cannot use them contacts the box office at least 72 hours before kick-off. Season-ticket holders forward their seat to family and friends with a supporter number and a ticketing account once forwarding has opened for that fixture. The accounts must be linked through Friends and Family. Forwarding is not reversible and costs nothing. Tickets are digital.

Official routes and other offers

Standard home tickets run through the ballot and the later Member Sale. Mags Member Ticket Exchange is the described official resale of unused season-ticket seats to eligible members who do not already hold that match. Listings can appear until three hours before kick-off, with no availability guarantee. The only named purchase site is book.newcastleunited.com. The club tells supporters not to buy from third-party or unofficial sellers. Tickets are digital. Membership also opens competitions, discounts and experiences around the club. Hospitality is released in phases and stays separate from the member ballot. Business Club comes first, then a wider hospitality release, then about 30 days before each fixture. Some high-demand online bookings require an NE postcode and previous club booking history.

Short-notice tickets and buying without membership

Short-notice tickets depend on the fixture. After the ballot and Member Sale, Ticket Exchange can still list seats until three hours before kick-off, with no availability guarantee. Season-ticket holders release unused seats there or forward them to linked family and friends. Ballot tickets cannot be forwarded and return only through the box office. Hospitality may release a further allocation about 30 days before a fixture. Check dates and deadlines on the fixture page, because every match runs its own times. MatchVisit does not read inventory from these routes.

If a fixture changes

A sale and its terms belong to the relevant seller. If a fixture is moved or cancelled, check that seller's current notice. MatchVisit does not make a booking and cannot promise a rebooking or refund.
