Estadio San Mamés stadium tour, visit planning
Check the official tour route for Estadio San Mamés and plan your visit with sourced guidance on the experience, arrival and stadium operations.
What to expect
Athletic Club currently sells an official product called Museo y Tour de San Mamés, also AC Museoa & Tour, on the club website. It is a stadium and museum visit at Estadio San Mamés. It is not a match ticket.
Sourced elements
- The standard cards are Tour plus Museum with audio guide, and Tour plus Museum with a guide. The combined visit is described as about 90 minutes. The audio guide uses explanations from the AC Museoa website on the visitor's own phone. Headphones are required. The guided stadium walk is described as about 45 minutes. The museum can be visited independently before or after that walk. The FAQ names Basque, Spanish, English and French for the audio guide. The guided walk runs in Basque, Spanish and English.
- A Match Day Tour is a different product. It is a guided visit before kick-off and not a substitute for a home ticket. On that product the museum must be visited before the stadium walk, because it is closed afterwards.
Booking and arrival
- Book only through the club pages or the linked club museum shop. Tickets are also sold at the museum desk in San Mamés.
- The club recommends booking the guided walk in advance because capacity is limited. Groups contact museoa@athletic-club.eus. Under-12s come with an adult. If going straight to the guided walk, the club recommends arriving 10 minutes before the booked start.
Stadium operations and matchdays
- The FAQ names Tuesday to Sunday. In July and August the museum opens every day. From March to October the hours are 10:00 to 20:00, from November to February 10:00 to 19:00.
- On matchdays, during closed-door training or other events at San Mamés, hours and tours can change. Check the date on the club site. Access is between Gates 19 and 20. The club names metro, tram and San Mamés station. The FAQ says the museum has no parking product.
Accessibility and individual planning
- The club describes both the museum and the tour route as adapted for visitors with reduced mobility. Tickets for that need are reserved via museoa@athletic-club.eus or by phone. Proof is checked on the visit day. Confirm individual needs with the club before booking.
