Membership, personalisation and transfers
An Official Membership gives access to the member sale, subject to availability and criteria. Selected fixtures may be balloted. A ballot entry is not a ticket. Season-ticket holders may transfer a seat to one of up to 18 City Family contacts, donate it, or list it on Ticket Exchange. Matchday Member tickets are described as non-transferable, with returns up to seven days before the match. Admission for 2026/27 is described as a mobile contactless ticket or membership pass. Dates can change at short notice.
Official routes and other offers
Standard home tickets run through the member sale. Ticket Exchange is the described official resale of unused season-ticket seats, visible about three weeks before the match. Flexi season tickets cannot use it. Named local wards around the Etihad Campus have a separate resident ballot that does not need Matchday Membership. Hospitality and club-named authorised sellers are separate routes, not a public general sale.
Short-notice tickets and buying without membership
Short-notice tickets depend on the fixture. A later member release, including Ticket Exchange seats, is described for the weeks after the date and time are confirmed. Later home matchdays were taken off the early sale so members can buy closer to the game. Exchange listing closes 24 hours before kick-off. Unsold listings can return to the holder about three hours before kick-off. MatchVisit does not read inventory from any of these routes.
